How long does deficiency judgment last in Michigan?

2 years ago my house was foreclosed on. The 2nd lien holder filed a deficiency judgment against us. We can't afford to settle and we can't afford another payment (thus the foreclosure). We haven't made any payments toward the deficiency to date. This year they garnished our state income tax refund. I wondered if there is a statute of limitations on this judgment? If I continue to not make payments will it eventually go away? I've called them a number of times to try to set something up but the payment is too high. Not sure what to do...
