Wage garnishment help......?

I live in michigan, and am going through some financial difficulties, and wasn't able to repay student loans on time, now they are going to garnish my already low wages...and by low I mean my I make less then 500 a month. much could they possibly take from me? Its already hard enough to geer by without this happening. What can I do? sorry if in wrong category
