Can I wait until September to pay my michigan state income tax?

I owe $907 in state taxes and cannot pay it until september. I filed my taxes on time in April but haven't been able to come up with the money to pay them and haven't received a bill from them yet, but figure the bill will be coming anyday now. I have set up a monthly payment plan with the irs for my federal taxes but have heard the state doesn't have a payment plan. Will the state wait until september or will they garnish my wages? I live paycheck to paycheck and hope they don't do that. My step-son owes me money and said he will pay me in september so that i can pay my taxes.
